Terms of Service
Effective date: August 5, 2026
By using Range, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Eligibility & account
You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your region) to use Range. You sign in with Apple and create a profile. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create (profile, posts, comments, photos, swing videos). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the app (e.g., showing your posts to your followers).
3. Acceptable use — zero tolerance for objectionable content
There is no tolerance for objectionable, abusive, or harassing content or behavior. You agree not to post or do any of the following:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or discrimination.
- Sexual, violent, or otherwise obscene content.
- Spam, scams, impersonation, or misleading content.
- Illegal content or content that infringes others' rights.
- Attempts to break, abuse, scrape, or overload the service.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules — including immediately, and without notice for serious violations.
4. Reporting, blocking & moderation
You can report content or users and block users from within the app. Reports are reviewed and acted on, typically within 24 hours, and offending content or accounts may be removed. Blocking hides a user from your feed, search, and comments and prevents interaction.
5. AI features
AI coaching, scorecard scanning, and swing analysis generate automated feedback based on the content you submit. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is for informational purposes only — it is not professional instruction, medical, or fitness advice. Use your judgment.
6. Golf & handicap data
Scores, handicap indexes, and course data (including ratings/stroke indexes) may be approximate or user-entered and are provided for casual use. Range is not affiliated with any official handicapping body and does not produce official handicaps or scores.
7. Service changes & availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Some features depend on third parties (Apple iCloud, our backend, course-data and AI providers) and may be unavailable at times.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is," without warranties to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
9. Termination
You may stop using Range and delete your account at any time (Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account). We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We'll update these Terms as the app evolves and revise the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
